Convert a PDF to a fillable form
If your website has a “print, fill out and bring with you” PDF, you are making every new client do paperwork with a pen. Converting it to a fillable form lets them type their answers, save the file and email it back, from a phone or a computer.
What “converting” actually means
Nothing about how your form looks changes. A conversion adds an invisible layer of form fields in exactly the right places:

The free way
If you have the original Word or Google Docs file:
- Download it as .docx and open it in LibreOffice Writer (free).
- Add form controls (View → Toolbars → Form Controls).
- Export with File → Export As → Export as PDF, ticking Create PDF form.

If you only have the PDF: free tools are much weaker here. You need a PDF editor that can add form fields over the existing page, such as Adobe Acrobat's Prepare a form tool (a paid plan). Many “free” online converters cap pages, watermark the result, or require you to upload the file to an unknown server. What do I get back?
A Google Drive link to the fillable PDF. Download it and put it on your website in place of the old one. The link expires after 30 days.
What if something is in the wrong place?
One round of fixes is free within 14 days.
Do you keep my form?
Your blank source file is deleted 7 days after delivery. The finished file and its link are deleted after 30 days. Details are on our privacy and retention page.
